She's back - in a different place
It’s always wonderful to have you back at the Bangalore Queer Film Festival! #BQFF2024, baby! We’re at a new spot this year – just trying something out, seeing if it fits! But don’t worry, darlings – these batty bloodhounds haven’t lost their nose for seeking out films from across the country, the world, and the many universes. And so, yet again, the films at our 14th edition are a treat, a thrill and a thoroughly good time! And as always, our schedule is packed to the last call!

We’ve got films from across India – they’ve been delightful, delicious and divine. [Send us more, please!] For the first time we have feature films in several Indian languages – one about the life of a female-impersonating Yakshagana actor; another about six siblings, the Kardashian kind but based in Baroda; there’s one about a friendship over fish curry on the banks of river; and we’ve got our first Meitei-language film from Manipur that speaks to the tussle between religion and sexuality. Besides the features we have many many short films, documentary and experimental films that play with storytelling.
